| Intro/Overview: Welcome to the National Association of Stock Car Online Racing (NASCOM)! We are glad you have chosen one of the cleanest and most well run league sanctioning bodies on the internet. Our years of experience in running an online racing league will provide you with the most intense racing you will ever experience. You will also meet many new friends. NASCOM has a little something for everybody and if you are good enough you could win numerous championships along the way. The opportunities here are tremendous so if you feel ready, put on your fire suit and grab your helmet. You're in for a great time. This is the place where simulation becomes reality! Participation requires a copy of "NASCAR Racing 2003" Season by Sierra/Papyrus. Also required is the latest the patch for the game. All patches can be downloaded from the Official NASCOM website in the "Downloads" section at (http://www.nascomonline.com). Participants are recommended to use a legally obtained copy of all software. Any participant using an illegal copy of software are allowed to participate but are not endorsed by NASCOM. Any participant convicted of copyright violations are then held accountable for any copyright penalties by the owning company. NOTE: If this is your first year running in NASCOM, you MUST paint a yellow stripe on the bumper of your car. This helps the Administrators to signify the rookies for easier tracking for the Rookie of the Year award. Once you have run in NASCOM for one full season you may remove this stripe from your vehicle. Participants are required to maintain their own equipment, software and Internet connection at their own expense. This includes maintaining a current copy of "NASCAR Racing 2003 Season" and patches only as determined by NASCOM. Steering wheel and operational pedals are required. Drivers that show the competence to operate without the above may be grandfathered in at admin discretion. Any participant with equipment or software that disrupts or otherwise interferes with active races and/or the server will be suspended until the participant resolves the problem. Outlined below are the standard operating procedures for racing at NASCOMonline. All drivers and Race Officials are responsible to read and understand all the applicable rules within. League rules inherit to this document are not to be altered and/or changed prior to the Administrations approval. Any driver that has a questions or league recommendations may contact one of the administrators listed below. The administration evaluates all new drivers and we understand that YOU too need the opportunity to evaluate us. In 2010, NASCOMonline will continue to offer free racing throughout the entire week encompassing different MODS. The number 3 is retired specifically by NASCOM. Any 3 digit numbers are reserved for NASCOM / KARS Adnimistration unless authorized by series admin. Other than that there are more than enough 2 digit and single digit numbers to go around. When all 1-2 digit numbers are exhausted the the 100 series will be opened up for competition. Again please no 3 digit numbers without admin approval first. If a driver will be taking an extended absence, and admins are informed of this. A number can be held by a team as a holder for those drivers. Reasons include: Moving Military Deployments Family Emergency etc etc ADMIN APPROVAL IS REQUIRED Car and Pit crew paint jobs: You must have your car uploaded to RPM and be in that same car in order to race in the event. Any driver in a generic car will be ejected from the server they are in. Car files are required to be uploaded at least 1 hour prior to the event. Your car must look professional. Keep them PG-13 rated. The car number will be present on the sides and roof. No offensive material or nudity is allowed on the car or the crew. League/Series Sponsors will be placed on cars. Some series may require you to carry a specific contingency packet on your car. Please refer to series admins for series specific sponsor packets. The following outlines applicants' procedures for membership: 1. You MUST Read, understand, and abideby the 2009 NASCOMonline rulebook. 2. Read and understand the membership procedures. 2009 Membership Cost 1. NASCOMonline membership cost for 2010 is still FREE although optional donations are accepted through PAYPAL on the main homepage. a. All donations of $10.00 or more will be eligible to name a race for every $10 donated. Please contact one of the NASCOM admins for this option. SECTION I- PRE-RACE PROTOCOL AND PROCEDURES Teamspeak: All drivers are required to utilize the TeamSpeak communication program to participate in all events here at NASCOMonline. We recommend all drivers have a hotkey to communicate directly with teammates. In the event of a racing incident no chat will be allowed so that drivers can hear spotters and admin. The administration needs time to review and analyze the incident in detail in multiple racing replay angles. The administration will inform the channel when chat is open after incident review. At no time will a driver flame, cuss, or demonstrate actions that are detrimental to stock car racing code of behavior! Drivers that make unprofessional like comments on race chat or on Teamspeak WILL RECEIEVE ONE WARNING(The Whole Season) from the Race Officials. If the driver continues to make comments The Driver/Admin Will Be Ejected from Teamspeak and the race server. Chat Rules: The only chat that is allowed is entering the pits under Green Flag Conditions. Make it simple and easy. Example: (entering pits) for auto chat. There will be no exiting pit chat under caution. No entering or exiting pit stall chat will be allowed. You may post a pass high or pass low chat and EOLL chat also. No general chat allowed under green flag and only race related chat will be allowed under yellow. No chat is allowed during qualify session. Player Information: Drivers will use their real name and place their full name in the last name field within the game. Leave the first name field blank. Timeliness: Drivers are required to be in the teamspeak server for the scheduled drivers meeting. Drivers will not be eligible to qualify if they arrive in the middle of or after drivers meeting. Server Connection Issues: If by chance the NRT race server drops more than 50% of the drivers, one of two courses of action will occur: 1. If 50% +1 of the field gets dropped before the half way point and cannot reconnect the race will be called a rain-out due to technical and/or equipment failure. This event would be rescheduled at a later date based on schedule availability. 2. If 50% +1 of the field gets dropped after the half way point and cannot reconnect, the race is considered official based on export availability. In the event of this action All drivers will be asked to submit via email to NASCOM85@aol.com which position they were running in at the time of the failed connection. When you do make sure to supply drivers name, car number, and running position. |
